Michael Wojcik, DDS, MS
Board Certified Periodontist & Implant Specialist

Dr. Wojcik received his undergraduate dental degree from the University of Michigan in 1988. He followed this with a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, MI. In 1992, he completed a three-year periodontal residency at the The Ohio State University and in 1997 became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He holds Fellowships in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), American College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is the former Chairman of the Michigan Dental Association (MDA) Committee on Peer Review/ Dental Care and has served on the MDA Committee on Peer Review/Ethics. He is the former Editor of the Journal of the Macomb Dental Society and Past-President of the Macomb Dental Society. He recently served as a member of the ADA Council on Dental Practice. He has lectured extensively and has authored numerous dental publications. He practices with Periodontal Specialties in Macomb County, MI and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Detroit/Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Wojcik is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.


Peter Leone, DDS, MS
Board Certified Periodontist & Implant Specialist

Dr. Peter Leone was born in Detroit and raised in Sterling Heights. He attended the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, and graduated with his dental degree in 1991. Dr. Leone then attended a periodontal specialty program at The Ohio State University. He graduated in 1996 with a Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science Degree. In 1997, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, making him a Board Certified Periodontist. Dr. Leone has had academic appointments as a clinical instructor at the University of Detroit and The Ohio State University. Dr. Leone served as a member of the Michigan Periodontal Specialty Board, as a Clinical Examiner, and also served on the Michigan Periodontal Association Peer Review Board. He is currently an active member of the Michigan Dental Association’s State Peer Review board. Dr. Leone was president of his dental fraternity and a past president of The Russell Bunting Periodontal Society. He is an active member of: the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, Macomb Dental Society, and Michigan Periodontal Association. Dr. Leone has authored and published research in the Journal of Periodontology and has written clinical articles for the Journal of the Macomb Dental Society. He enjoys hunting, fishing, team sports and spending time with his wife and four children.


Khashayar Azimi, DDS, MS (Dr. Khash)
Board Certified Periodontist & Implant Specialist

Dr. Khash completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014 where he majored in Chemistry. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he served as Class President from 2014-2018. Soon thereafter he completed his Master of Science (MS) and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Hospital Health System in Michigan in 2021. He is a Board-Certified Periodontist from the American Board of Periodontology and the State of Michigan.

After his periodontics residency, he began his active duty to serve in the United States Air Force. He completed his Officer Training School and Squadron Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base to further advance his leadership and military training. He served at Andrews Air Force base from 2021 to 2023 as a periodontist and Associate Professor in AEGD residency program.

Dr. Khash is well versed and experienced in all aspects of periodontics and dental implant placement. His experience working side by side with prosthodontists and oral surgeons in the Air Force using the Latest technology allows him to see treatment approaches from both restorative and surgical perspectives.

He enjoys teaching and loves being an educator. Dr. Khash takes pride in sharing his expertise in periodontal treatment and dental implants with fellow clinicians and his residents. He is a member of the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, member of the American Dental Association, and the Michigan Dental Association.

Dr. Khash and his wife are very excited to be back in Michigan. He is currently working full-time in private practice and part-time in Air National Guard. He is dedicated to serving his patients to address their periodontal and dental implant needs with commitment to excellence and patient satisfaction. He is fluent in Farsi and English. He and his wife currently resides in Lake Orion. He treasures time spent with his family and friends and enjoys playing soccer and traveling.
